Cancellation

Our workshop scheduled for March 28 & 29, has been canceled. We were scheduled to meet at the community room of the Institution for Savings, but they are shutting that room down due to the covid-19 virus.

January Workshop

We are now taking registrations for our 2020 workshops. The first of these will meet on January 25 & 26 in Newburyport. To register, email Ellie O'Leary to get the information sheet and registration form.

October workshops

We are offering the first time homebuyer workshop three times in October - twice in Newburyport and once in Saugus. You can even mix and match, starting in one workshop and finishing in another, as long as the schedule for speakers aligns. Contact Ellie O'Leary at EOLeary@CoastalHB.org.

We are taking registrations now for our next workshop - meeting in Newburyport on September 14 & 15. Email EOLeary@CoastalHB.org to get the information sheet and the registration form.

October 5 & 6 - Newburyport

We have had a change in our schedule. There will be only one workshop in September, meeting on the 14th and 15th. We are adding a workshop on October 5 & 6 in Newburyport.

HUD certificate

At Coastal, at our in-person workshops, we offer the Certificate of Completion that is required for state programs such as Mass Housing, MHP One Mortgage, and some local bank programs. At the workshops, participants get to hear from real estate professionals and ask them questions. For those who may find they need the HUD Certificate, for a specific loan program, we can now also offer  that through our connection with Framework, an online program.

If someone is unable to attend in person, they can do the online program and then complete the certificate process with us. The fee is $75 to Framework and $25 to Coastal, each paid separately. The link for Coastal at Framework is here.

Anyone who completes our in-person workshop who later finds they need a HUD certificate can take the online course through the link above and we will waive the additional $25.

Week of July 15, 2019

Coastal Homebuyer Education will be closed the week of July 15 reopening on the morning of July 22. All emails and voicemails will be answered on the 22nd.
